City Council Votes on Seahawks Fandom

Seattle, In an 8-1 vote the Seattle City Council voted that entire city has been avid supporters of the Seahawks since 1976. This bill was designed to retroactively enfranchise all of the so called "fair-weather" fans which the city has recently had to accommodate. "We hope to promote unity of the city going into the Superbowl," said Seattle Mayor Murray, "and Go Hawks!"

The one dissenting vote came from newly elected and openly socialist City Councilor Kshama Sawant. "This is just another act of the rich exploiting the more underprivileged fans. If this city truly supports the Seahawks then they need to start acting like it," said Sawant. Councilor Sawant has proposed a bill to subsidize season tickets and box seats for the underprivileged fans. "Any good franchise would support the community first. Not the other way around," said Sawant.

Not be out done the City Council of San Francisco passed a unanimous bill affirming the entire cities hatred of Seattle. "We assure you that we are the original haters. There is absolutely no bandwagon hatred here," one City Councilman affirmed.
